男が若かったあの頃、アメコミのアンチヒーローに夢中になった。
悲しみを背負う過去、バイオレンスな世界観、
そのすべてに憧れた。

男はひらめき、夜中に衣装を作りだす。
裁縫は素人だ。趣味のSMコスチュームでごまかす。

鏡の前に立つが、何かが足りない。

白いソックスを履いたまま、
だらしない体の自分がそこにいた。
このムキムキの体は、あくまで頭の中のイメージ。
暗黒のヒーローになるはずだった男は、
ただのコスプレ中年として鏡に映っていた。

フィギュアという形式は、
憧れの力を象徴性を縮小し、棚に並べ、所有するためのもの。
その最も消費的なフォーマットに、
失敗、疲労、孤独、そして少しの尊厳を秘めている。

それは叫ばない反抗であり、単なる玩具でもない。

英雄の残骸を、アートスペースではなく、
誰かの部屋に置くための作品である。

アクションフィギュアをベースに、これまでの制作経験を踏まえ、制作工程・表現を拡張した一点物のカスタム作品です。

1990年代、アメリカンコミックのダークヒーローは、特別な存在だった。

私が10代の頃、それらのフィギュアは高価で、
簡単には手に入らない憧れの対象だった。

しかし時間の経過とともに、
かつて強い価値を持っていたそれらは、
今では安売りされ、ワゴンに並ぶ存在になっている。

本作は、その変化に対して覚えた違和感と哀愁を出発点としている。
キャラクターそのものを再現するのではなく、
一つのカルチャーが辿った時間や感情を、
立体作品として再構成した。

・露出高めのトップスやチェーンアクセサリー、
ブレスレットに至るまで、すべて手作業で制作。

・マントは無数のスタッズが打ち込まれ、
立体感と存在感を演出。

・襟元とマントは自由に形を変形可能。

About This Work
This is a one-of-a-kind custom piece based on an action figure,
created by expanding both process and expression through accumulated production experience.

In the 1990s, dark heroes in American comic culture were something special.

When I was a teenager, figures inspired by them were expensive—
objects of admiration that were not easily within reach.

As time passed, however,
what once carried strong value gradually changed.
Today, many of those figures are discounted,
ending up in bargain bins and clearance racks.

This work begins from the sense of unease and quiet melancholy
I felt toward that transformation.
Rather than recreating a specific character,
the piece reconstructs—through sculpture—
the passage of time and the emotions carried by a culture.

•The revealing top, chain accessories, and bracelets
are all handcrafted individually.

•The cape is embedded with countless studs,
giving it depth and a strong physical presence.

•The collar and cape can be freely reshaped.
